Lunar Eclipse

The phenomenon observed when the moon enters the shadow of the earth. </dd>
A lunar eclipse is called penumbral if the moon enters only the penumbra of the earth, partial if the moon enters the umbra without being totally immersed, and total if the moon is entirely immersed in the umbra. </dd>
