The temperature at which a mixture of air-saturated pure water and pure ice may exist in equilibrium at a pressure of one standard atmosphere. </dd>
By decision of the Tenth General Conference on Weights and Measures, Paris, October 1954 the ice point was established as 273.15 degrees K. </dd>
